Goals and Challenges for Italian Sports Centers and Clubs

ANIF, a key reference point for managers and owners of sports facilities in Italy, is promoting a conference titled “Horizon 2030 – Goals and Challenges for Italian Sports Centers and Clubs” at RiminiWellness 2025, scheduled for Thursday, May 29 from 1:30 PM to 3:30 PM in Sala Neri 1. The event will serve as an institutional and technical dialogue on the future of grassroots sports, with a particular focus on the economic, social, and educational role played by gyms and fitness centers across the country.

ANIF President Giampaolo Duregon will open the session with an overview of the current state of the sector and the challenges it faces in light of ongoing regulatory and structural changes.

Minister for Sport and Youth Andrea Abodi will follow with insights into national policies supporting physical activity and sport for all.

Deputy Minister of Economy and Finance Maurizio Leo will address fiscal measures and economic tools supporting the sports sector, especially in relation to the recent sports reform and the economic sustainability needs of sports facilities.

Debora Miccio, Head of Commercial and Marketing at the Institute for Sports Credit, will explore access to credit for sector operators, presenting financial instruments and projects aimed at the modernization and digitalization of sports infrastructure.

The conference will also feature Prof. Attilio Parisi from the University of Rome Foro Italico, who will provide a scientific contribution on emerging trends in sports and wellness. Additionally, Massimo Cicognani (ANIF Vice President), Michele Felisatti (AISE Vice President), and Giorgio Berloffa (UNC President) will update the audience on regional regulatory progress related to the "Palestre della Salute" initiative, aimed at involving sports facilities and specialized professionals to turn exercise prescriptions into reality.
