Sustainability as a business driver

Mindset, tools, contacts and practical experiences to integrate sustainability into your business

In today's sports market, sustainability separates those who grow from those who fall behind.

It is no longer just an environmental issue: it's about access to resources, credibility, and the ability to attract athletes, sponsors, and communities. Without specific expertise, the risk is losing concrete opportunities - funding, partnerships, and trust. For a facility owner, sports manager, or coach, the real question is: are you using sustainability as a strategic lever?

On one hand, there's the economic aspect:

how do I transform sustainability from a cost to an opportunity?
how do I access increasingly competitive grants and funding?
how to be credible towards institutions and sponsors?

On the other hand, there's an even more decisive challenge: reputation, social impact, and long-term sustainability of your sports project.

Sustainability also means addressing often underestimated critical issues:

  • how to prevent early sports abandonment (drop out)

  • how to recognize and manage unintentional abusive behaviors

  • how to build a healthy, inclusive, and attractive environment

Those who don't oversee these aspects expose their organization to concrete risks: loss of athletes, reputational damage, reduced attractiveness to sponsors and the local area.

What you'll take away from the course:

  • The right mindset to integrate sustainability into your governance processes
  • A practical approach to transform sustainability into an economic and competitive lever

  • Operational tools on energy, waste, materials, and supplier management

  • Skills to protect reputation and prevent internal criticalities

  • Guidelines to reduce drop out and increase athlete engagement

  • Strategies to generate a real positive impact on the community

Today, sustainability is risk management, a growth lever, and positioning.
Those who acquire these skills will lead the future.

This module is part of the training course that begins with the free conference 'Sport that generates value for the environment, community, and people' on Thursday, May 28, at 15:00, Sala Diotallevi 2, for which you can register here

A certificate of attendance will be issued at the end of the course.
