Barbara Ruocco

Barbara Ruocco is a permanent Medical Director at AUSL Romagna – Public Health and Hygiene Unit, Rimini area, where she carries out the following activities:

• Coordinator of operational plans for schools, swimming pools, personal care services, and thermal establishments

• Oversight of inspections in schools, swimming facilities, gyms, sports centers, cosmetic and aesthetic services, hair salons, tattoo and piercing studios, and spas

• Pharmacy inspections

• Member of Public Entertainment Commissions

• Member of District Technical Commissions for the authorization/renewal of nursery school licenses

• Management of vaccination clinics for adults and chronically ill patients

• Travel medicine counseling

• Issuance of medico-legal certifications

• Member of the Emilia-Romagna Region working group on swimming pool facilities (involved in drafting checklists and inspection reports)

• Member of the AUSL Romagna working group on cosmetics and personal care services

She previously held permanent positions as Medical Director at ULSS 9 Scaligera – Prevention Department (SISP) – Public Health and Hygiene Service, and at the South Tyrol Health Authority – Bolzano District, also in the Public Health and Hygiene Service.

Barbara earned her Degree in Medicine and Surgery and completed a Specialization in Hygiene and Preventive Medicine at the University of Siena.
She also holds a Level II Master’s Degree qualifying her to serve as an Occupational Health Physician, obtained from the University of Pavia.
