Niccolo Agugiaro

Born in Rome on 25/01/2002 A member of the Compagnia dei Semplici of Bologna, a contributor to NotizieGolf and the author of a Lectio at the University of Rome Tor Vergata, Niccolò Agugiaro combines sport, philosophy, numbers and applied research in an original journey. Golf was his first laboratory. For seven years he wore the jersey of the Italian National Teams, from 2016 to 2023, progressing through junior, amateur and professional categories. In 2022 he earned his card for the Alps Tour, entering the professional ranks and completing a path built on international competition, discipline, method and responsibility. Today he is also a FIG federal instructor, bringing to teaching the experience gained as a high-level athlete. Alongside the course, Niccolò has cultivated a deep love for numbers. Scores, trajectories, rankings and statistics are not mere tools for him to read reality. This perspective has evolved into applied market research within the sports system, with particular focus on golf as a cultural, tourist and economic sector. The work carried out with Italia Golf Experience — Emilia-Romagna stems precisely from this vision: collecting data, interpreting it and transforming it into a strategic reading of the territory, golf tourism and institutional opportunities. His degree in philosophy of science at the University of Roma Tre completes the profile. His thesis on the mathematisation of time and the Leibniz-Clarke controversy leads him to question space-time, relativity, measurement and the relationship between science and metaphysics. Philosophy thus becomes the place in which to give depth to what sport and numbers have taught him: every gesture occurs in time, every choice arises from the balance between freedom, constraint and precision. His biography is that of an athlete-philosopher who reads golf through numbers and transforms experience into research, thought and vision.
