Sports discipline recognized by CONI and Sport e Salute based on bodyweight training
Ginnastica Dinamica Militare Italiana 1978 (GDMI), the sports association with the highest number of members in Italy and Europe, with over 70,000 members and more than 600 active centers throughout the national territory, debuts at the 2026 edition of RiminiWellness: it is in fact the main novelty of the 20th edition with an entire pavilion dedicated to it, designed by the renowned creative director Sergio Pappalettera.
Founded in 2013 by Matteo Sainaghi, a graduate in Rehabilitation Therapy with a sporting background in rugby, and Mara Uggeri, GDMI has been certified and promoted as a sports discipline by CONI, through C.S.I. The protocol is based on specialized adaptive athletic preparation, designed to train all muscle structures of the body and improve physical performance through functional exercises, and is founded on three fundamental principles:

Bodyweight exercises, conducted in an anti-gravity position with total absence of resistance training equipment.

Total lack of comfort and, therefore, activity designed to create an important permanent and progressive adaptive process of educational, cultural, physical, and motor character.

Complete absence of competition, understood as exaltation of the first in ranking, the individual or the potential phenomenon. The group's commitment serves to create cohesion according to a proven scientific methodology.
NATIONAL RECRUITING FOR NEW INSTRUCTORS
During the four days of RiminiWellness, GDMI will also launch an important recruiting activity to select new instructors and support the further expansion of the network throughout the Italian territory.
