Dietary supplements for wellness and prevention

Four days of meetings and workshops with specialized professionals and companies of the industry. What dietary supplements, nutraceuticals, and phytotherapeutic products are, how they work, and when and how to use them.

From the world of sports to applications that help manage physiological disorders, this growing phenomenon is explored through data, scientific research, and modern medicine, as a response to the evolving health and wellness market.

An introduction to the world of dietary supplements, nutraceuticals, and phytotherapeutics, presenting a category of products that is now increasingly important in prevention protocols and in improving quality of life. Recent social and cultural changes related to health and wellness have strengthened the role of these products, with their use growing exponentially, both in absolute value and in the number of users.

Twenty speakers and dedicated thematic areas will focus on the use of dietary supplements, nutraceuticals, and phytotherapeutics, exploring their functions in health and wellness across topics such as women’s health, stress, anxiety, cognitive decline, nutraceuticals and new risk factors, antioxidants and cardiovascular risk, cardiovascular risk in women, pre-pharmacological management of dyslipidemia, blood pressure modulation, and optimization of glucose metabolism—from diet to nutraceuticals. The goal is to understand the application and functionality of these products in managing physiological conditions from a "clinical" perspective.

The novelty for 2026 is the conference scheduled for Sunday, May 31Nutrition and Lifestyle Conference – led by Prof. C. Angeloni. It is aimed at health and wellness professionals and will address nutrition and supplementation in both sports and lifestyle contexts, featuring internationally renowned speakers.

Round tables are also planned to discuss distribution channels, the role of the web in the health and wellness sector, pharmaceutical social networks, and the job market, including new opportunities and emerging career paths for recent graduates.

These are some of the topics covered in the forums organized by RiminiWellness and curated by a scientific committee composed of Prof. Arrigo Francesco Giuseppe Cicero, Prof. Andrea Tarozzi, and Prof. Roberto Romagnoli.

The “Dietary Supplements, Nutraceuticals, and phytotherapeutics” project at RiminiWellness aims to highlight how scientific, pharmacological, and clinical content can be integrated with marketing and communication strategies. The initiative stems from the profound cultural and social transformation that has shaped the health and wellness sector over the last 15 years. This shift has increasingly emphasized the need to place a new kind of “Patient‑Client” at the center of product research, development, and marketing policies.

The increasing use of natural products (supplements, nutraceuticals, phytotherapeutics, and cosmetics), together with a deeper awareness of dietary models, balanced nutrition, and physical activity protocols, represents an effective response to the pursuit of psychophysical well-being and overall health.

The use of dietary supplements, nutraceuticals, and phytotherapeutics, combined with a balanced diet, a healthy lifestyle, and regular moderate physical activity, is believed to:

  • stabilize physiological processes altered over time by endogenous and exogenous factors;
  • maintain optimal well-being;
  • improve physical and mental performance;
  • reduce the risk of pathological conditions;
  • support the body’s defense against aging;
  • strengthen internal defense systems against stress and oxidative factors.
