Biography
“My name is Andrea De Beni, and I’m 46 years old… per leg. The math is simple: just multiply 46 by one.”
That’s usually how I introduce myself on stage - just swap the year - and I do it knowing that self-deprecating humor can be one of the most serious ways to talk about life’s big topics.
I’m from Turin, born in 1979, married to Raffaella, and dad to Miriam, Tea, and Emilia Chiara. Professionally, I define myself in the world of communication and training.
I was born with a congenital malformation of my right femur. I’ve always walked, run, and jumped on one leg and a prosthetic. The “first version of Andrea” - trapped between shame and embarrassment - gradually gave way, thanks to inclusive sports and personal growth, to the Andrea you see today: an active, positive participant in life; a behavioral and emotional activist; a coach; a trainer; a multimedia communicator; and a motivational speaker.
Today, my perspective is full of kindness. I support people who want to work on their “real or perceived disabilities.” My condition is never an end in itself; it’s a means to highlight, through sharing my journey, all the wonderful things that happen in everyday life. I offer myself as a catalyst for change, encouraging the courage needed to face limits and fears - for the wellbeing of adults, children, and organizations alike. In one word, I am “movement” - what I create in meetings, workshops, conferences, and multimedia content.
Beyond my work in schools of all levels, I constantly show that it’s possible to maximize your potential, whether in corporate and public events or multimedia projects.
