Attilio Parisi

Institutional Roles: Rector of the University of Rome “Foro Italico,” Head of the Laboratory of Exercise and Sport Sciences.
His research focuses on the effects of adapted physical activity on conditions such as: neoplasms (breast and colon cancer), neurodegenerative diseases (Multiple Sclerosis and Parkinson’s), and nephrological conditions (chronic kidney failure and uremic sarcopenia).
He also studies the effects of supplements on athletic performance and cardiovascular response in athletes.

Areas of specialization: Adapted Physical Activity, cardiovascular responses to exercise and training, nutrition and sport, anti-doping, and the epidemiological, preventive, and therapeutic aspects of sports activities.
