Carlo Ninivaggi

I am a geriatrician with experience in managing neurodegenerative disorders in the elderly, particularly dementias, throughout the entire care pathway: from prevention to diagnosis, from pharmacological and non-pharmacological therapy to territorial care management. I have worked in specialized residential and semi-residential settings, dealing with clinical management and behavioral disorders, with particular attention to supporting families. I actively participate in multidisciplinary projects for organizing services dedicated to dementia, contributing to the definition of care pathways and operational protocols. I collaborate with social services in the multidimensional assessment of people with complex needs and in developing innovative care models, such as cohousing for people with dementia. I am engaged in training and educational activities on the topic of frailty and dementia, as well as in promoting prevention and inclusion initiatives at the local level.
