Teodosio Pafundi

Biography

Geriatrician, he obtained his degree and specialization at the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart in Rome and received a second-level inter-university master's degree in 'Perioperative Medicine for the Elderly' at the University of the Republic of San Marino. Since 2019, he has been working at the USL Health Authority of Modena, where he consolidated his clinical experience working at the Carpi District, both dedicating himself to the care and management of elderly patients with cognitive disorders and dementia, and, above all, implementing the OrthoGeriatrics Project at the orthopedic department of the Ramazzini Hospital in Carpi. Since May 2025, he has held the position of Acting Director of the Complex Operational Unit of Territorial Geriatrics in Modena. In line with the most modern challenges of public health, his activity is oriented towards developing a proactive and proximity care model focusing on the comprehensive care of the frail elderly and promoting integration between hospital services and the nodes of the provincial territorial network to ensure continuity of care, equal access to care and services at the provincial level, better quality of life in the patient's home and social context, with attention to efficiency and sustainability.
